The foundations are. Every website is built to be found on Google, with fast pages, a clear structure, page titles and descriptions, and setup in Google Search Console, which gives it a sound starting point. Ongoing SEO and social media management are offered as a separate service, because they require sustained attention over time.
Do you offer hosting?
Yes. There are two plans: a yearly plan for a website without an admin area, and a monthly plan for a website or system that stores data, such as an online shop or booking system. Both include monitoring, software updates and minor changes, and the cost is included in your estimate.
What does website maintenance include?
We monitor your site, keep its software up to date and resolve any issue that arises. On the monthly plan, your data is also backed up every week. Minor changes are included in both plans.
What counts as a minor change?
Any change that takes up to about 20 minutes, as well as updates to images, text or colours, is included at no extra cost. Larger changes and new features are estimated in writing before any work begins.
Can you register my domain name?
Yes. We can register and manage the domain on your behalf for a modest monthly fee that depends on the domain and the registrar's price, and transfer it to you whenever you ask. You are equally welcome to register it yourself.
Who owns the code?
You do. Ownership of the code passes to you as each stage is paid, and you can have access to the repository on GitHub, so you always hold a complete copy of your own project.
What will I need to provide?
A few things must be set up in your own name: a Stripe account if your site accepts payments, a Google Business Profile, your content (text, photographs and logo) and your legal texts, such as the privacy policy. We guide you through each of them.
Can you build an online shop?
Yes. We build online shops with secure card payments through Stripe and an admin area for products, stock and orders, with product pages prepared to be found on Google.
Do you build mobile apps?
Yes. We build applications for iPhone and Android, for your customers or your team, connected to your website or internal systems.
When are you available?
Our working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00 UK time. Enquiries that arrive outside those hours are answered on the next working day.
Do you offer ongoing SEO and social media?
Yes, as a separate service that is discussed and quoted individually, because it requires regular work over an extended period.
