Business website design and development
Fast on every device, prepared for search, and easy for your team to keep current.
We design and build bespoke websites for trades, professional practices, creators and growing companies, each one fast on mobile devices, prepared for search engines from the outset and, where it is useful, equipped with an admin area so that your team can manage content without technical help.
(01) Purpose
What a professional website should achieve
Explains what you do at once
A clear headline, your principal services and the clients you serve, all visible before the visitor needs to scroll.
Establishes trust
Credentials, real examples of your work, genuine client reviews and a reliable way to reach you, presented with the care your clients would expect.
Performs on every device
Most first visits now happen on a phone, so speed and the mobile layout are designed first rather than adapted afterwards.
Can be found in search
Pages are written around the terms your clients actually search for and supported by the technical setup that helps Google understand them.
Turns visits into enquiries
Every page offers a clear and obvious next step, whether that is a form, a telephone call or a message.
Supports your team
An admin area lets you update content, bookings or members yourself, without waiting for a developer.
(02) What's included
Everything a new website requires, in one engagement
Requirements and planning
Before any design begins, we agree the pages, the features and the route a visitor takes from first impression to getting in touch.
Bespoke design
A visual identity created for your business and your clients, rather than a template shared with thousands of other websites.
Content management
A private admin area through which you manage your own content, products, bookings or members, arranged around the way you work.
Integration with your tools
Card payments, bookings, email, your CRM and analytics are connected, so that information never needs to be entered twice.
Search foundations
Each page is written and structured around the terms your clients use, and the site is connected to Google Search Console at launch.
Speed and security
Pages load quickly, every connection is encrypted, and the finished site is tested on phones, tablets and desktop computers.
(03) Cost
How much does a bespoke website cost?
(04) Who it's for
For organisations whose reputation precedes them
Professional practices, clinics, trades, studios, creators and growing companies share one thing: new clients usually hear of them first and then look them up, so the website has to confirm that impression and make getting in touch effortless.

(06) process
How a project runs.
Every engagement follows the same sequence, so you know at each point what has been agreed, what is being built and what comes next, and you pay only for stages you have reviewed and approved.
- i.
Initial consultation
You describe your business, the problem you want to solve and what a good outcome would look like, and we ask the questions needed to understand it properly. The consultation is free of charge.
- ii.
Proposal and estimate
We recommend an approach in clear, non-technical terms and send a written estimate of the hours, cost and timeline, so that you can decide with all the relevant facts in front of you.
- iii.
Design and development
Once you approve the proposal, work begins without a deposit, starting with the parts of the project that matter most to your business.
- iv.
Reviews and stage payments
Each stage is demonstrated to you as it is completed, giving you the opportunity to refine the direction, and it is invoiced only once you are satisfied with it.
- v.
Refinement and launch
We refine the details, test thoroughly on phones, tablets and desktop computers, and launch the finished site on your domain with its search engine setup in place.
- vi.
Hosting and care
If you wish, we host, monitor and maintain the site after launch, with minor changes to text, images and colours included at no additional cost.
(07) Portfolio websites
Portfolio websites for creative professionals
For photographers, designers, architects, consultants and creators who want a permanent home for their work that they own and control rather than a profile on someone else's platform.
Your best work is presented at its full size and loads quickly, alongside a clear account of what you offer and a simple way to commission you, built to the same engineering and search standards as a company website.

(Case study)
A website for a chartered surveying practice
Quartz Surveyors is an independent, RICS-regulated practice in Kent. We designed, built and launched its website, giving every survey and valuation service a clear page of its own. Read how the project was approached, then explore the live site.
(Questions)
Frequently asked questions
Who will I work with?
You work directly with the senior engineer who leads your project. The person who answers your first message is the same person who plans, builds, launches and maintains your website or system, so there are no hand-overs and nothing is lost between conversations.
How much does a custom website cost?
It depends on what your website needs to do. Every project is quoted individually: after a free consultation you receive a written estimate of the cost and timeline, with no obligation to proceed. There is no deposit, and you pay in stages as each part is approved.
How long does a website take to build?
A typical company website requires around 40 hours of work, and the overall timescale depends mainly on how quickly content and feedback are provided. Larger applications are planned in stages, and the estimate includes a proposed timeline.
Can I make changes during the project?
Yes. Regular demonstrations exist precisely so that you can refine the direction as the work progresses, and time for final adjustments before launch is always part of the plan. Changes that add new scope are estimated before they are carried out.
Is SEO included?
The foundations are. Every website is built to be found on Google, with fast pages, a clear structure, page titles and descriptions, and setup in Google Search Console, which gives it a sound starting point. Ongoing SEO and social media management are offered as a separate service, because they require sustained attention over time.
Do you offer hosting?
Yes. There are two plans: a yearly plan for a website without an admin area, and a monthly plan for a website or system that stores data, such as an online shop or booking system. Both include monitoring, software updates and minor changes, and the cost is included in your estimate.
What counts as a minor change?
Any change that takes up to about 20 minutes, as well as updates to images, text or colours, is included at no extra cost. Larger changes and new features are estimated in writing before any work begins.
Can you register my domain name?
Yes. We can register and manage the domain on your behalf for a modest monthly fee that depends on the domain and the registrar's price, and transfer it to you whenever you ask. You are equally welcome to register it yourself.
Who owns the code?
You do. Ownership of the code passes to you as each stage is paid, and you can have access to the repository on GitHub, so you always hold a complete copy of your own project.
What will I need to provide?
A few things must be set up in your own name: a Stripe account if your site accepts payments, a Google Business Profile, your content (text, photographs and logo) and your legal texts, such as the privacy policy. We guide you through each of them.
Can you redesign my existing website?
Yes. We review your current site, retain what works, rebuild what does not and redirect your existing pages correctly, so that the search visibility you have already earned is preserved.
If your question is not answered here, send us a message and we will reply within one working day.
